Oh this kid.

I spent countless hours reminding him to brush his teeth, put his shoes away, and do his homework. I fought with him to practice his piano and for heavens sake leave his sister alone! I spent 30 min dumpster diving to find some lost homework, and another hour arguing why he needed to wear clean socks every day. This was all over the course of only 2 days.

Well, last night when he knew the words to Bon Jovi's Living on a Prayer and sang with me all the way to basketball practice, I knew I wasn't completely failing as a mother! ❤️

A new baby is coming to join us! I'm 10 weeks along and baby will be here March 2017! Family of 8 here we come!
Beck jammed his toe or broke it while at the cabin. It's still swollen 😳
Violet got caught digging in the dirt with moms toothbrush. She had no regrets.
Raspberry picking! We ate most

Canning salsa and making decorations and flowers for niece Kylees wedding in 2 weeks! Along with photo
Sessions and editing I am sad this summer has flown by!
Jakobi came to stay in Moses Lake for the week of our birthday! Celebrated #34 eating J's Terryaki and painting pottery at the Art Garden.
All of our kids! Every other one is hers than mine!
Most of our summer has consisted of mini photo shoots, friends over to play, cabin time.

4th of July fun and the kids watched the fireworks on the roof with cousins and dad.

Cabin fun with grandma and grandpa beck and uncle Justin visiting and Violet's first time on the rock slide.

Ashton Family week!

We stayed in little Red. I think I will be sad when they tear it down.

Beck is doing well on the wake board and paisley is enjoying the knee board. You can't get Remmy off of the tube!
We adopted a dog! A 4 year old white poodle that we named Hermione. She has made herself right at home. ❤️

Stephen and I took a 2 days trip, just us, to Las Vegas. We walked a lot, laughed, ate good food, and even took a nap. ❤️ We saw the show "O" and enjoyed our time together.

Remington celebrated his 3rd birthday while we were still at the cabin. He loves Paw Patrol, Blaze the Monster Truck, and his Olaf fishing pole.

Vroom vrooms (motorcycle) are also a favorite of Remington's! He is practicing on his balance bike every day and may be riding a bike soon! We love his little voice and his sweet character. He still loves his pink blanket and can't sleep without it.

Right after school let out we took off for the cabin. Becks friend, Adam Wiseman, joined us for the week.
Remington got potty trained! Go remmy!
Violet went on many walks.
We even got to keep cousin Sunny with us for a few days and the kids were obsessed with broken arms because cousin Asher broke her arm in Othello.

I am super excited for the show and I want to sell everything! Ha!
As this Mother's Day weekend begins I lay in bed in the quiet before all the chaos starts and reflect on these littles that I have been blessed with and the man that helps raise them with me. Every year when Mother's Day approaches I actually dread it. You heard me, I dread Mother's Day! 😳 It's the expectation of sleeping in, someone else doing the dishes, no one asking me to wipe their bum, tie their shoes, get them a Popsicle, or wipe their boogers. No one begging for a snack when I've said no 5-6 times already, head butting me from a temper tantrum because I won't let them see what happens if they try and stick a fork in the light socket, or wiping boogers across my freshly laundered shirt. I have these expectations that I don't want to make meals or do dishes. I don't want to SERVE, I want to sit and nap and read a book in the quiet. I am going to try my hardest to change my attitude this year. This is the year that Mother's Day will be perfect and I will be thankful for the snotty noses and smelly feet because one day they won't be there. The thought brings a tear to my eye. One day they won't need me to put on shoes or help with a story problem. I want time to slow down, I want to hold those sticky pudgy hands a little longer. I have been blessed with sweet kids who adore me and want to ask for my help and want to make a mess to create me a masterpiece and this year I will take it all in and accept it. Appreciate it. Love it. Happy Mother's Day to every woman out there that serves and serves with a smile. Happy Mother's Day to the women that will clean up their own Mother's Day breakfast and continue to wipe bums and give in to requests for sticky suckers before dinner that you will be wiping off surfaces later. Mother's Day I will celebrate  all the things that I usually think drive me nuts, but make me who I am and yes, someday I will miss all those things. ❤️

12 months! Wow! 17 lbs and 1 ounce and 28" tall. ❤️
Violet got to celebrate her 1st birthday cake up at the cabin during Spring Break.
To say she loved it is an understatement.

My baby girl is 1! This year has flown by. She is the sweetest thing. We love her consistent smile. She hates her car seat. She loves food and eats what we eat. She is still an avid nurser and sleeps with mom and dad mostly. She loves her siblings and her new baby doll that she got for her birthday!
My most favorite place in the world is the cabin at Priest Lake.

Stephen has taken it upon himself to teach the kids how to fish as he learns himself. Such precious moments.

And poor Paisley found a tick moving around in her ear when we were laying down for bed! Luckily we got it but she was pretty freaked out!
