I have awesome friends....

We have had a lot going on lately, like most families, but it just seems like the last month has been one thing after another and before I knew it it was time to move. I feel like I have been packing forever, but I just kept turning around and there was more and more to pack. We were supposed to be in our house today, but like all "closings," it didn't happen. I don't know why I get my hopes up.... but it looks more like Friday, but with Halloween parties, school, Cambodia, travels, Salt Lake unpacking, and getting lesson plans ready for November, the 2 extra days didn't seem like that much of a blessing. I wanted to get in today and move my closets and special pictures over before the men came with their dirty feet and clumsy hands (although much appreciated dirty feet and clumsy hands) to move the boxes and then I could have had my closets and some of my kitchen put together before the majority came after late afternoon, but now we have to pack it all in the garage so we can get the carpets cleaned and the house clean. I wouldn't have been ready for it all anyways, I guess that is one way to look at it! And then Jenica and Bethany arrived this morning and with the help of Amber watching some kids, look what we accomplished!!! So now I feel ready; Bring on the Move!!!
You wanna know the sad part? That is like 1/8 of my crap....

Saying Goodbye

Bob and Ann flew to Cambodia last night and are actually still on the plane probably for the rest of the day. We are excited and sad at the same time. Excited for this new adventure and sad that 18 months seems like forever! This picture is not of all the grand kids, but a few of them. We all drove to Salt Lake to spend a few days with them before they left. We went to the zoo, temple square, the Discovery Center, and a bunch of meals and rowdy hotel swimming. I got to stop and see my parents and some family in Burley on the way there and on the way back. Paisley all bundled up in the zoo.
They had this cool sculpture at the entrance to the zoo, the water ran over the ball as it spun and the kids kept making it change directions. And yes, there was a moment where Beck leaned over and drank the water. This is what it looks like after the Ashton's leave a restaurant...I love the Salt Lake Temple. Stephen and I got married there 6 years ago. I have always known that I wanted to get married there. Stephen's parents got married there as well as both of our grandparents.
My two handsome men....
We also went to a Discovery Center and Beck pretty much stayed at this water area the whole time.Does anyone know what type of plant/flower this is? It is all over the temple grounds and I just love it!
So all in all we had a great weekend and were excited to see everyone together. The only one we were missing was Mary, she had to stay back for the Primary Program. It was a fun time and we can't wait to start Skyping Bob and Ann in Cambodia!

Just a peek at what it's like to eat dinner with the Ashton's at a restaurant. We took up the whole back room.... :)

Field Trip and the Dentist...

Beck had a class field trip to the pumpkin patch on Tuesday, luckily I am his teacher, so I got to take a lot of pictures.... Ashton, Beck, and Piper are pretty sure that they own the place...Here is the whole class and then Mr Beck with his prized pumpkin

On Monday Beck had some major dental work done. Wow, we floss as much as possible now. 2 front tooth crowns, 6 cavities, 4 sealings, and he got put all the way under. He was such a trooper. After it was done, I tried to get him to go pick out a prize at Wal-Mart, but he just wanted to go home and sleep.... But after 2 hours he was bouncing off the walls and we were able to drive to Othello and take Stephen cupcakes at work for his birthday. Happy Birthday honey! #32 ain't bad, but I guess I am not 32 yet. ;)

Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is clean up time....

Moving day is Oct 28th. We are moving to a house over by Pelican Point. I thought it was in Pelican Point, but I have heard people say it is "in between Pelican Point and Dune Lakes in the old neighborhood." I am excited about the move, not excited about moving and packing, but excited about the house. Not excited about leaving our ward and not excited about how small the backyard is, but this will be a new adventure and hopefully it turns out well. I have a good feeling, but if the world were run on good feelings.... ;) I have been packing for what feels like 2 weeks and we have another week to go. I pack a few boxes a day and then in between gymnastics and teaching, I pack some more. But it feels like I am getting no where. I have let the house go to trash. I haven't cleaned bathrooms, or vacuumed. I figure, "what's the point?" I am using all my time to pack, pack, pack, and we have so much crap!!! And half the crap is already being stored in Bob and Ann's garage! It's scary all the crap we have. Major yard sale next summer is all I can say! Because by then I will probably have even more crap....

I hope we can find room for a garden in the backyard, and the deer don't eat it...

The other night, Stephen was out of town, I was really frustrated and just wanted to sit down, watch a show, and knit. I tried to put the kids in bed, but it really was just one of those nights. Really cranky, then they were giggly, and I just wanted to be selfish and have some ME time! It was getting past 10 PM which is pretty late for my kids and I said out loud, "oh, man, seriously? you guys are killing me!" and Beck turns around all wide eyed and says, "mom? you are dying?" Wow, I just couldn't stop laughing, he really probably thought I was losing it!

We are supposed to be packing...

A cute picture of Paisley as she tries on my bra last week as I was getting ready. She has been so much fun lately! Learning to talk; mama, dada, baba, wow, and uh-oh. She still does not talk too much but she understands most of what people are saying. She nods her head a lot! Yes, she still really loves her baba and following me around most days. When I am teaching she gets to hang out with her next favorite person, her Aunt TiffanniAshton and Beck have a love/hate relationship most days. They pretty much spend 3 days a week together in school and at gymnastics. Ashton got to spend the night the other night and this is how I found them.....This is how I know that Fall is here... The boys helped me pick the gourds and pumpkins from my garden as well as tie some corn husks together. Then we had to get to school and they wanted apples and the rain boots just made the picture. Tiff would kill me if she knew how I dressed her kid when he was here, "you wanna wear your pj's?" you got it!Stephen and I celebrated our 6 year Anniversary on this past Saturday the 10th of October. We got to celebrate it surrounded by family because Bob and Ann (his parents) were leaving for their mission to Cambodia this past weekend. Before we went to dinner with everyone we all stopped and looked at our new house and there were roses for me and a funny card on the counter; Happy Anniversary to me! We should be moving on the 28th of this month. Tiffanni, Ann, and the good looking Stephen with food in his mouth. Bob and Ann are great in-laws and parents. They do so much for all around them and we will miss them so much, but we know that serving the people of Cambodia is the right thing for them to do right now! Their talks and the dinner yesterday were all so wonderful (excluding my disgusting egg salad...) LOL!

My niece, Hanna, saw this Mountain Dew mug at a gas station and knew that I had to have it, She was so excited to give it to me and I was super excited to get it! Thanks Hanna! (I don't normally dress like this, it was pink and purple day for my preschool class.... okay, I lied, I do believe that I have worn this outfit before minus to tiara!)

Ruby Starr's baby blanket

LOTS going on!

Well, we are finally back from a few more of our travels or "take offs with not much notice..." My Grandfather's Funeral was on Tuesday of last week and it feels like forever ago. It was a nice funeral and all the speakers did a great job, especially my dad of course. Right amount of funny, right amount of spiritual, right amount of memory. The whole funeral was very nice, as nice as a funeral can be. Everyone always says that the best thing about a funeral is that everyone gets together. And just about everyone was there, so it was nice. I saw cousins that I haven't seen in years! My whole family was there, (pictured above minus bro-in-law, Chad) and I believe that we were only missing a few cousins.... After we got back from the funeral on late Thursday night we did laundry, caught up and then I had a Fiesta Fundraiser for AIM School and then on short notice we took off for the cabin about 8 PM on Friday night and I am glad that we went. We were able spend watching Conference with some family and spend a good weekend with Bob and Ann (mom and dad-in-law) before they take off on their mission to Cambodia next week!
This next picture is of my dad and about kills me every time that I see it. I haven't seen my dad cry to often in my entire life. The picture in the background is my Grandpa Beck and this is at his viewing. My dad (and Aunts and Uncles and grandkids and a few lucky great-grandkids) have had my Gpa Beck around for a long time and we were blessed to have had him in our lives, it is a blessing for him to join his wife in Heaven, but sad, that we won't be able to see him for a bit. My son, Beck, keeps waking up and asking if Grandpa Beck is still dead, and I get to explain to him again and again that we will see him again.....And my friends, the next picture is of something illegal, or so they say, I don't believe them... so cops, and jurors and judges, and those who judge me and my odd ways, avert your eyes.....My sister, Britni, my cousin Heidi, and I painted the rock at the Burley High in our heels and dresses... because Why? you ask? Because My Grandpa Beck Rocks! That's why!And here is my sweet angel, Paisley Marion. And below, a picture of the great-grandkids at Grandma Mimi's house. All 10 of them plus my little brother, Justin, who is really a grandkid, makes 11. Thanks for the always yummy pizza Grandma Mimi and the awesome polyester material!!! ( I came home with bags and bags of it from her and some vintage TUPPERWARE! Made my day I tell ya! I've been spending oodles of money on Ebay for that stuff!)
