Funny things kids say

I was downstairs at the dining room table trying to figure out how to make a button hole to fix my niece Alizah's shirt, and I heard a thump coming from upstairs, followed by Beck crying, so I jet upstairs and he runs to me with his "hold me" cry, and I asked him what happened. In between sobs he says, "I falled trying to save the day like Bolt the dog..." I am sorry, but while he was crying I was chuckling laughter... :) That, my friends, was pretty funny.

Memorial Day BBQ and Beck's Preschool program

Memorial Day we spent out at Tony and Mary's pool (bro and sis-in-law) in Othello with family. It was a beautiful day and we had a bunch of fun. Pais was adorable in her new swimsuit and Beck was a lot like his mama in being afraid of the water. He started smiling after a bit, but had to have his floaty and mom or dad right there. Here is another one of little Paisley's habits. If she can get into the pantry she will carry around a box/box of cereal until I put some in a little baggie for her to munch on. She eats it all day long. If I don't find her before this happens, then she just eats it right off the floor. It's a good thing that I am trying to keep my house spotless in case the realtor stops by or someone wants to see it! :)Today was Beck's 3/4 Spanish Preschool Graduation. I left my video camera on a shelf and pressed record when it started since I was the one "in charge," so I got the whole thing on tape, but I wasn't able to take any pictures. You know the typical picture of them getting the "diploma" or "certificate." So I snapped a picture of Beck with his completed book of activities and such after the whole shin dig was over. It went pretty well, even though the kids barely sang a word of their songs, I am claiming that it's the parent's fault because there were a ton of people there and my little ninos had some pretty bad stage fright. They pretty much just sat there. It was pretty funny, but the slide show I had made went over well and a few other things that we did like finding the colors in Spanish and roll call where the say "presente" when they heard their name called. Good thing that Beck has like 2 more years of preschool, so maybe one year I will get a picture of him receiving his certificate! :)

Wonky Log Cabin Quilt

It's has been sitting there all pinned together and without a binding for a few weeks, and a few days ago it was time. So I got it all together and then finished the hand stitching on the way to the nephew's birthday party in the Tri-cities and now it is DONE!!!! This is my first quilt for ME! Not Pais, not a relative, but ME! Now poor Beck needs me to at least start his....

Pictures, pictures, and more pictures

We have this drawer in the kid's bathroom that has all the Hotel soaps and lotions and shampoos from all the Hotels we have stayed in since we have been married. Paisley found it about a month ago and whenever I can't find her there she is playing in that drawer. I know that I need to move them, but well, as in most things in my life/house right now, I just haven't done it. The other day she got a bottle of the lotion open and it was all up and down the stairs. Silly girl...
As stated previously we went to the buy one get one free wristband for the Carnival on Thursday. Stephen only got to stay with us for a few minutes before he had to head off to a church meeting, but we had a lot of fun with Kortni and her girls, and Brandon. This is what Paisley did the whole time. She was so content in hanging out in her stroller and drinking her baba wand eating snacks.
Yeah, Aunt Kortni thought that Paisley needed some cotton candy.....

Beck enjoyed riding in the fire truck with his cousins Piper and Alizah. His first ride was actually the bumper cars with Hanna driving, he was upset because "that girl drived too fast for me."

He hopped right on this bus and actually went 3 times. I was amazed at how high it went and e was right there smiling and having a good time. It actually got stuck once, but he didn't even notice. I was nervous he was gonna bail out or something, but he just waved at me.This kiddie roller coaster went pretty fast as well, but he hung out right in the middle of Hanna and Nikkia. I think that he kind of has a baby crush on Nikkia. He tried to go on the giant slide, but the guy wouldn't let me walk him up the stairs. So he said he would go. It was really high, so I was worried, but he went anyways. He got about 5 people from the top and freaked out and started crying and tried to make his way back down, I was trying to get the guy to let me go up after him, but he wasn't letting me saying, "I don't see anyone crying." " what are you talking about." I was like, "he's only this tall, of course you can't see him, that's why I need to go get him down!" I was getting frantic, because the guy was like no way, but I could see that Beck couldn't get past the kids and was crying louder and louder screaming for me, so I said, "whatever" and pushed my way past the stinky carnival guy and ran up the stairs for my crying little boy! Argh, was mad, but glad I didn't listen to him. :) After that the only thing Beck wanted was to ride the strawberries again. He had already ridden it 3 times, and I was dizzy from it, it spins as fast as you turn it and the kids always want to spin fast, so we hit that ride one more time and then he was happy. Then we had a melt down because he got a Spiderman blow up toy and changed his mind and wanted a sword, but I told him no. Heaven forbid I tell him no. :) He does this thing now where he wants both things, so he chooses one and then changes his mind a few minutes later after you have already left/bought it. Little boogie. :)Cousins Eric and Ashton stayed the night on Friday night and we went to the lip sing in the park and didn't get home until 10, but it was a lot of fun. Saturday morning we woke up early and headed to Tri-cities for nephew, Daniel's, birthday party at a park that had these water toys as part of the park. It was a lot of fun, with good food, a pinata, and lots of cousins. This is Paisley's shy face. She goes through spurts of whether she wants someone to hold her or play with her. She is kind of a momma's girl. When you go talk to her she will turn her head and lay it on her shoulder and act all shy. Silly thing. After the party we had to race back to Moses Lake to do the kiddie parade and then the Moonlight parade again later that night. Beck marched in the AIM Gymnastics float, which looked great, with a big ol set of bars on it and I helped with kids on and off the float doing gymnastics. Beck and Colin did donkey kicks and tuck jumps as they walked along with the float. They sure are strong little buggers, they walked a long ways! This is Lanie, Colin, Beck, and Piper sitting on the float.
And today is a lazy day. I think that we have physically made ourselves sick from all the running around. And that brings me to the last little bit that we are going to try and sale our house. We have found one we like and made an offer, but it is contingent on whether we sell this house. So over the last week I have been "staging," although it is hard to stage a home that you are still living in. I took down and wrapped in newspaper 101 picture frames, moved out various pieces of furniture and play toys. Beck is convinced that we were throwing away his basketball hoop. poor kid. So our house is a little less crowded and pictureless, it probably looks like a normal house now. :) If we don't sell, no biggie, we like it here, just wanted a little more room. There are a lot of homes for sale with not many selling, so we are not really planning on much changing. Thanks Peter for your muscles.... :)

I was way too lazy (after a busy last few days) to put my pics on the computer, but I had to give a shout out to a friend, Bekah. I did that "Pay it Forward" thing a while back where you have to make something homemade and pass it on. Well, I signed up for Bekah's and I got hers a few days ago and if I must say, my sweet Pais is in love! She got a fleece blanket, pink and blue, and made with love from Bekah! THANK-YOU! Pais loves blankets. It is a little heavy for her, she always likes to drag her blankets around, so that I will wrap it around her, but will be perfect for the winter time. I took it to church on Sunday, but we left early because of Pais's rash, so not too many got to see it's cuteness. On another note, Paisley threw up on the way home from a friend's house last night and then Beck threw up this morning, but nothing since. Weird.... I am crossing my fingers and praying that we don't get another sick bug, because I am about done with the sickies! We went and did the whole carnival thing at Spring fest, Beck was an animal on the rides, I will have to post later when I actually get some pictures up.

Catch up

Last Tuesday I went out to Othello to my sis-in-law's to get my hair done. While out there Tiff also gave Paisley a little trim. I had shaved her head quite a while back, but it still grows straight down the middle, but I am going to count this as her first official hair cut. Thanks Tiff!

And here is her first pony tail a few days later, soooo cute! This is also our new kitty from Tiffy's house as well. She has a bunch of em if anyone wants one. He doesn't have a name yet, Beck can't decide. I tried to call him Blue because he has blue eyes and it is Beck's favorite color, but I was quickly informed that this kitty is in fact black, not blue. Every once in a while he calls him Spiderman, so we'll see how it goes. He sure is a loved kitty, a little too loved if you ask the poor cat....
This is my little brother, Kalan. He graduated in architecture with his Masters this past Saturday and we drove to Moscow and met up with the rest of my family to support the guy. He's a smart guy, really smart, as in sarcastic and in the brain. :)

He's cute too! Congrats Bubba!

Here is me and my cute little family waiting for the commencement to be over.

Me and my cute little niece, Elizabeth, everyone seems to call her Lizzi, she is my twin sister, Jakobi's baby girl, just 7 weeks old and such a doll. I made that hat for her, but not the flower. :) (That was a yeah for me moment if you missed it!) L-Right: Korbi and Paisley, Stephen, Collin, Broxton, Bridger, Britni, Kalan (grad), Justin, Dad, Mom. Front: Beck, Branson, Chad, Elizabeth, Jakobi, and JaxAnd my sweet baby Pais, with the beginnings of the Roseola rash on her back, I believe, but obviously you can't see it there. I never did go to the Dr today, just didn't make it, but the rash is gone and she seems good, so I will cross my fingers. My friend Jenn made her that ADORABLE sweater/cardigan for her birthday. The time and energy she put into it, makes my head spin, thanks again Jenn. Me and my older sister, Britni, she laughs so hard that she cries and it makes me so happy. It is one of the things that I totally love about her, and the fact that she is the mother of 3 boys, 3 mischievous little boys, and she still smiles..... :) Me and me mum. She's a pretty lady, did you know that she used to teach Jazzercise AND she had hair down to her butt all while the mother of 5 children? Wow! Love you mom. I think that she thinks that I am weird sometimes. :)
And my adorable Pais again with her favorite snack of raisins. Man, she loves those raisins. When she was sick a bit ago all she would eat was raisin, so you can imagine what her diarrhea diaper looked like..... Now that you have that wonderful picture in your head, here is a pic of my family at my niece, Hanna June Nelson's baptism. She got baptised on Saturday, so we had to book it back from the U of I to make it in time after Kalan's graduation. This is of the Nelson side and the Beck's plus a few friends. And Hanna is the cute little princess in white in the middle of course. :)

sickies... again?!@!?

I think that Paisley has the roseola virus/rash, she has an appt at 1:45, so we will see.... Bummer, just when I thought we could go a week without sickness...... I have lots to write about, Kalan's graduation (Master's) Hanna's baptism, family visiting, working outside, so I will check back later when get all my pictures done....

I just had to post a picture of my sweet, much happier Paisley. She still has diarrhea, but man, she is a lot happier than she was a few days ago. :) When she wakes up from her nap Beck runs in and jumps in her crib and plays with her for a bit. They jump around and laugh and tickle each other.... My little boy really is growing up. He walks into my room and was so excited to show me the kitty that he built. "I made a kitty! I made a kitty!" And I was impressed when I walked in to the play room to see and this is what I found. He actually did make a kitty. :)
