Paisley "mom, when you die can I have your skeleton, so I can hang it up every Halloween?"

Um, ok.

I'm exhausted.
Went to bed about 11:30. Shortly after woke to feed Remington. Then sick Paisley came upstairs, water, meds and pillow and blankets for her to sleep on floor. 3am Stephen wakes to drive to airport to fly to Texas for the week. Remington is awake to eat again- he falls asleep, Penelope screaming. Bring her to bed get her bottle and binky. Go check in Beck who is downstairs. Cover him with another blanket. Text Stephen who is just getting to airport. Remmy wakes up screaming, penny still awake. Rock Rem. Penny kicking me in back finally falls asleep to have Remmy wake up crying directly after, resort to feeding Rem. He falls asleep, lay him down, head hits pillow, he's screaming  again. Play Pandora nursery songs on phone to rock Remmy again. He finally falls asleep. It's 7am and I want to go to bed for the day. This is what happens about every night, as I'm sure is comparable to other mothers! Ha!

Beck just came upstairs. He wet his bed. Awesome.

My sweet angel Paisley has been sick with fever since Thursday evening. As long as she had meds in her and the fever is kept down she's fine. She says "my brain hurts" and I know it's time for meds again. I don't think she has minded it too much because she has had the Kindle Fire all too herself and has watched the Swan Princess probably a dozen times!

Love note from my very sick Paisley

"I love you mom. I hope you never go away from me"

I just love her.

Remington has turned 7 months old! This little keeper is such a joy, although at times I feel like he has been teething since birth, but no teeth to show for all the drooling and chewing and crankiness the last month or two. He likes to be in his walker watching everyone and scooting around for short periods of time and then he likes to be carried the rest of the time. He screeches when Penelope gets too close to him because he knows that that usually brings pain or smothering hugs. He does not sit up yet but is rolling around all over. Getting himself into some sticky situations with all the movement; stuck under chairs, twisted up in lap top cords... He sticks anything and everything in his mouth. And is always reaching for something. We just love him and his funny squeal.

Penelope said her first sentence. "Who's is this?" Yeah!!! In the last 2-3 weeks Penelope has started repeated so many words! Let's just say the frustration level in this house has decreased immensely! Yeah!!! 18-2 years is a pretty hard hard for me. I love when they start to communicate!

He's growing up. This Mr. Remington of ours. Playing on the kitchen floor while I made cookies and he ate a playing card. Got stuck to the roof of his mouth and he was gagging before I caught it. It has begun... This "eating of all things and everything goes in my mouth stage."

Paisley "how many pieces of toilet paper do you need to make a boat?"

She says while holding scissors in her hand...

Before I was a mother I swore up and down that my kids would not wear clothes with "characters" on them. I swore they wouldn't. I was adamant about it even to the point of returning a few outfits I received as gifts with Disney characters on them. How naive I was. So funny.

Fast forward.

7, almost 8 years. Lightning McQueen and Cars Tshirts and ball caps, Star Wars bed sheets, Hello Kitty sweatshirts, My Little Pony backpacks, Smurfs socks, Rapunzel pillowcases, and now Penelope's newest love Mickey and Minnie Mouse. My kids love it all and I love the smile that's on their face when they wear their favorite shirt with a Princess on it or carry around their super hero blanket. And I've learned something. If it makes my kids happy you better believe I'm buying into it and it makes me happy too!

Well played Disney, well played.

I made Beck a SuperHero blanket with his name on it last year, so naturally Remington needed one too!

I forgot to add Remington at 6 months. He turned 6 months on Christmas Eve. We made sure to take some quick photos to document him growing with his fox stuffie. He babbles and had begun to et upset if you leave the room. He likes his walker and can watch everyone go about their day from it. He is a very patient and happy baby. He hasn't been sleeping very well and still wakes up quite often to nurse in the night, but I contribute the recent crankiness to his swollen gum. As much as I don't want him to grow up I would like some teeth to poke thru so that he can get some relief. He is growing fast, although small for his age group. He weighs 15 lbs and 2.5oz and is 26"
long. He likes his toes, his binky, and chewing on everything. He gets nervous when Penelope comes near for fear she will bite him or sit on him and I don't blame him for his nervousness.

Penelope really wanted to share her new headband with her baby brother.
Oh heavens....
I was feeding remmy playing on my phone not paying attention and a
Victoria secret commercial came on and it just kept going. I finally look up and Stephen had been rewinding it over and over to watch it again and again to see if is notice and we both burst out laughing for like 10 min. I had tears streaming down my face I was laughing so hard. My cheeks hurt from smiling. It was so funny!
I love this guy.
