Strep, my 1st shower, and Paisley's 1st bath

Beck has strep, I have never seen him so sick before. He was in the bathtub later that night (Monday) and Stephen was off to Rite Aid to get a prescription while Paisley laid on the bed waiting for a diaper change, then Beck started throwing up everywhere and I just grabbed him and we sat on the floor until Stephen got home, both of us covered in vomit. Nice picture in your head, huh? Then Beck just laid on the couch the rest of the night, shaking and mumbling weird stuff. The next morning he was a completely different kid, back to his normal happy self. Antibiotics do wonders! Then Stephen headed back to work Tuesday morning and left us ALONE..... we made it to Hanna's birthday party and even a trip to Wal-Mart. This morning was interesting. I knew that I needed to take shower and this would be the 1st attempt without Stephen here, so I put Beck in front of the TV/computer watching Super Why and Paisley, where to put Paisley? I had lent someone my bouncy seat a while back, can't remember who, and I didn't want to set her on the ground for fear that Beck would come bouncing in, so I decided that the sink fit her just about right..... I got all showered, make-up, hair, everything! It worked out just perfectly. Then we decided to give Paisley her first bath at home, I know, it's been a while, but that umbilical cord scares the crap out of me, so I have been putting this off for a while now. My mother-in-law, Ann, actually gave Beck his first bath because Stephen and I were too scared. Anyways, I did it all by myself and even took pictures! She wasn't the happiest camper, but we both survived.
Paisley did so well last night. Sleeping 2 1/2 -3 hours until waking to feed and then right back to bed she goes. I'm still waiting for her to wake up from her newborn daze.... Hopefully it's not too soon because it really looks like we are headed to Rexburg Friday sometime in the early afternoon. Paisley has another Dr Appt Friday morning to check her weight again and maybe another biliruben test, I don't know how to spell that. They checked it on Monday and it was fine for her weight or something like that. Her eyes and face are really yellow, but the rest of her body is fine. By the way, just in case you were wondering, I was told I have super human breast milk because Paisley is 7 lbs 11 oz, 4 oz past her birth weight! Yippee! And yes, I take orders and will put auctions up for the stuff on E-Bay. just kidding.... ;)

I'm glad that litle beck is feeling better. I didn't know about the throw-up incident though...yikes! That was pretty clever to put Paisley in the sink. I have a bouncy seat that you can borrow when she grows out of the sink :)

I'm so glad Bethany will let you borrow her bouncy seat once the sink gets too small. And with your milk, that might be next week! Paisley is beautiful, I wanted to hold her so bad. Mine is a baby anymore, sigh, it's so sad.

You are too funny! I would have never thought to put her in the sink. I was way too paranoid for that. My girls would have figured out a way to fall somehow. I always put them in a bouncy chair or their carseat, sometimes even their crib. Just ideas ya know.... I didn't even know Beck had/has strep. He was just fine today...! CYA soon!
