I am a wuss (sp?)
Has anyone ever got their teeth whitened? I just did it about noon today and WOW! PAINFUL! The only thing that I can think of right now is how much I would rather give birth..... :) At first I was fine, the whole procedure went pretty painlessly, only discomfort, and then as the day wore on it got worse and worse, to the point that I can barley think! Wow, I am a baby, but let me remind you, I had a baby with no drugs, she was only 7 lbs 7 oz, and yes, many women have done it before me, with much LARGER babies, but I was patting myself on the back when it was over! And now I am crying over a little bleach? I lost track of how many Tylenol I have taken.... Stephen and I attended the temple after my little whitening procedure and then met a 2 bro and sis in laws for dinner at Famous Daves, which was way yummy, and I got laughed at for ordering warm water. The thought of that cold water hitting my teeth sent shivers down my spine. My niece baby sat for us and I came back to happy kids and they slept on the way home, so it was a good day, and I hit a Children's Place Sale and bought some new fabric (yeah, like I needed any!) So other than the shooting pain, like chewing on tin foil, shooting through my teeth, yeah for Friday! Now on to the Easter weekend.

Sadness
Motherhood has turned me into a pretty tough cookie. I used to be so anal (ok according to Stephen I still am, but so not the point I am getting at) about my things. I used to collect Snow globes and it was the Christmas after Beck was born that he dropped one and it hit another one and they both broke and I rushed to him and scooped him up and didn't even give the snow globes a second thought, well, except to dump them into the trash. Stephen came home and was flabbergasted that I had not bawled uncontrollably for these lost treasures. Because if it was he who had broken them I would have had his head, but I told him that my baby didn't know any better. So fast forward a few years with many broken treasures in between with not so much as a tear shed, I lost it on Saturday. Full on tears of anguish and sadness. I have this Altoid tin/Brag book that I made of Beck's pictures and it holds a pictures from each month of his first year of life.
I was just about to finish Paisley's same Altoid tin of all the pictures of her month to month when I remembered that I had washed my diaper bag. I RAN to the dryer and sure enough my treasure was tumble dried and some parts still dripping with her little hand print with ripped fingers, and smeared pictures, yep, I lost it, full out hissy fit, bawling on the floor, crumpled, Stephen thought I had broke my leg.... but nope just a broken heart, so I am starting again.... Bummer deal. I guess I still am anal, but my focus is now on things dealing with my kids. :) And those dang dishes in the sink that mock me....

Paisley turned 1 year
Paisley got her 1 year pictures taken today by my friend Jenn and her amazing talent: J Olson Photography. Here is a sneak peak that she gave me and I am so sorry to break this to everyone out there who thinks otherwise but, I have the cutest baby girl in the whole wide world! Friday, April 3, 2009
My Baby Girl is 1!
Paisley waking up on the morning of her #1 birthday!
Yeah, she thinks her new car seat rocks! This is what Stephen and I got her for her present. Yeah, not much for thrills on the 1st birthday, but she seems to like it.
Yes, one year ago my baby girl, Paisley Marion Ashton, was born. And our little Pais has brought us so much happiness and laughter and the wonderfulness of buying way cute clothes, or for the matter of her birthday, receiving WAY CUTE clothes! Her party at the gym was way fun with a few family and friends in attendance. She enjoyed her pizza and was pretty interested in the frosting on the cake,
but not really the cake itself, she takes after her mom in that way. She loved the texture and smooshing it in her hands.
She didn't really open any presents, the kids in attendance took care of that for her because she was more interested in her Sesame Street airplane from Bobby Boy and Grandma Ann.
She got some beautiful dresses from her sitter "Mii Mii" and some other cute outfits from my sister, Kortni, and her mother-in-law, Marsha, Thank you thank you! A cute toy set tea pot from Kellee and family, complete with a homemade bag to hold it all, some sand toys from Turners and Cleverly's which was perfect because you can NEVER have too many of those! A darling Mexican dress from Crofts, money from Grandma Mimi, and we also got her a pull along puppy.
All in all a great success and a fun party for Paisley ending with planting seeds in the "dirt" table into little cups for the kids to take home. Paisley even got her own taste of it.
These are some of the kids from the party; top, l-r: Ella, Auri, Lexee, Beck, Alizah, and Hanna
And so my little angel, Happy Birthday to you and we love you so very much! Thank you for being such a good, happy, beautiful baby!

Funny Story
You see that weird container thing below? It's a grass catcher for my dad's lawn mower that we found on Ebay. The one to order from the store is almost $70, this one was a steal. I had been watching it in my Ebay for most of Wednesday and then on the way home Thursday I called my sister Jakobi and had her bid on it because I didn't think that I was going to make it home on time before the time ran out. Well, I did happen to check it at about 9 PM and it was way over what we had bid, and there was only 5 minutes left, I knew that my sister goes to bed a little after 9, so I couldn't call her and ask her about it, and I didn't recgnize the l**n as her Ebay name, so I bid again and again and in the last few seconds won it for $46.00. The funny part is that my sister showed my mom how to do it and she is l**n, so we were bidding against each other! hahaha! We only went $10 over what the last guy bid who dropped out, so it wasn't that bad, but pretty darn funny!

We're Back!
My parents and little brother Justin came up to Boise last night and I don't know what my problem is but I got NO pictures of them! Argh! My mom always comes baring gifts which Beck loves and he also go to open Paisley's because she was more into the bowl with the lid on it! Thank you Maimi Dawn and Papa Goose for our surprises! Paisley got 2 new cute outfits for her birthday too.
While in Caldwell, Beck got these glasses, I think they are Power Rangers and he still has not really let go of them. I have to put them on him all the time and they continually fall of because his face isn't big enough, so this is him mad at me because they are falling off.
The kids and I left Caldwell about 9:00 AM and finally made it back to Moses about 4:30 PM. With 2 potty breaks and a stop at Costco in Kennewick
and then a stop in Othello to pick up my new camera (no, not the one I really wanted, but we'll see how it goes and I am still excited all the same) we made it home and to surprises wow! Stephen had reorganized our closet and it looks way snazzy and I like it! HE vacuumed, did laundry, and there were no dishes in the sink! I know, I about died. The subtle hints from me on the way home as the kids are screaming in the background and I still had 3 more hours to go, "man, I sure hope I don't have to go bonkers when I see dishes in the sink," "man, I sure love coming home to a clean house..." hint hint. I think they worked! And my garden is all manured (not a real word, I am pretty sure of it) with the new watering system in, and let's mention that spiffy closet again, sigh.... oh! and roses! A beautiful vase full of them. One time when we were newly married, like a year, I had been gone and came home to find that Stephen has rearranged the apartment living room, and I seriously about had a panic attack. I don't know what it is, but I get all crazy when I come home if my house is dusty or there are dishes in the sink, or the TV stand isn't where it used to be. Now don't get me wrong, I am not a spotless, shiny, person, things just need to be in place. So I was trying to control my breathing this morning as Stephen was telling me over the phone of all the little surprises that he had for me and also shocked that he had attempted this little charade over again, he must not remember the last time. But, if I say so myself, he did a great job and I am so happy with all these little "chores" that got done, I think that he missed us. :) and maybe we will leave again..... just to see what happens, there are some tubs in the garage that need to go up in the attic, and my scrapbook/sewing/computer desk could really use an organization..... Hmmm....
And Paisley will be following in her cousin, Piper Nelson's, footsteps in her obsession with shoes!
And yes, my friends and family, this ADORABLE peach will be turning 1 year old tomorrow. (Don't ask me where the bruise came from, I blame it on unsteady standing :)
