Thank you Grandma Mimi!

My Grandma Mimi sent Beck some birthday money and he got it in the mail today. Tuesday is our late night home from the gym, so I told him we could go get him a toy tomorrow, after unsuccessfully trying to get him to put it in our New York fund jar. But after I got us and all our bags inside he comes running up to me and points at the 20 on the 20 dollar bill and says, "wow! It says 20! I can get 20 toys for this 20 dollars!" The wonder on his face and not to mention a beaming mother who was sooo excited that he found, pointed out, and KNEW what the 20 was decided to pack em up and head to Wal-Mart..... 7 PM and counting.... After eating Wal-Mart popcorn chicken for dinner (don't judge, you know you've done it to) we grabbed our 2 gallons and milk and a few other things and headed for the toys. First we hit the toy clearance aisle, but Beck was very careful in what he was going to choose. He knew that he could possibly get two or three toys if the numbers (prices) were smaller than the numbers 2 and zero. After carrying around some Star Wars Lego guys for a bit, and then trading for some different Star Wars figures that were not lego and checking out every other toy in the toy section, we made it halfway up to the checkout, with Paisley hanging out of the cart, crying insanely for a "baba" aka sippy of milk, he decided that he wanted guys that "move" and the Star Wars guys that he had were stationery so back we go to the toys. Good ol' Transformers always pull through....

Checking em all out. $4.97 a piece, he finally decided on 3 of them after we took pictures of the front and back of each different one.
And this, my friends, is real. The real Paisley pout that she has mastered over the last month or so. She is getting very good at it. No, she is not Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, she is Paisley and she is mad.....
No collagen here, all Paisley Marion Ashton and her grumpy, pouting glory. The screaming match follows in about 2 minutes....

He has decided. He has also already decided which one he is going to open in the car for the way home.
Soooo excited that he got change! I also suggested that that go in the NY jar, but he wasn't buying it..... This is the Pony that Paisley made out with that Beck "bought" for her. (He didn't have enough, but he will never know that) He was nice enough to think of his little sister and he really wanted to pick out something for her, I didn't care if he wanted to buy her a motorized Barbie car, I was gonna get it!

So great-grandma Mimi, we thank you for the Birthday money and for the experiences and toys that we got with it! We love you!

And yes, Beck knows that he can get 20 dollar store toys that may break, or a few nice toys for 20 dollars instead, but he has not yet realized that NY York may be a lot better in the long run. I think that he takes after me. ;)

Wow on Beck! Carter has no clue what 20 looks like! Go Beck!! I think I'd do the same thing if Carter had recognized that. And popcorn chicken is the best!!

I love popcorn chicken but have never actually ate it while at WalMart. Do you get it from the Deli and then just walk around or do they have a place to sit? Ours doesn't have a place to sit - just McDonalds. Beck is a very sweet boy to think of his sister. Hopefully she remembers him. I would take that cute pouty face over a scowling face anytime. And why New York? Everyone has been there but me and I have no desire.
