Grandma MIMI!!!

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday my Mimi! Happy Birthday to you! Me and my Grandma Mimi Thanksgiving 2006. This is how you can usually find Grandma. On the floor taking pictures with her disposable cameras, which she develops and then puts them into piles and gives them to you in little white envelopes.....
The cameras in which the kids usually take and then take their own pictures. (Mimi and Alizah)
The famous pickle elevators. Grandma Mimi HAS THE BEST PICKLES!!!! I have many memories of her pickle elevator and her yummy yummy pickles ruining our dinners....This is at Bridger's baptism the past November 2008. Happy Birthday to my dear Grandma Mimi. She is such an amazing person and so spunky! She would laugh at the word spunky and say, "oh, Korbi, what are we ever going to do with you?"

Brad Paisley

I love my grandma Mimi's comment on my last post, "Hey ddont feeel bad I dont believe I have one much of anything in my life but that is O k bdcause God gave us you and you are a winner" yes, folks, you read it right there, I am a winner and what makes me a winner is this post as well. :) I feel that in life you gotta love stuff, like love your babies, love your hubby, love your knitting, or your collections of stuff, and anyone who knows me knows that I love Brad Paisley, I mean, I named my daughter after him! I am not overly obsessed.... I am not a member of his website, I don't know how long he has been married, but I do love his music, think he is an awesome guitar player, and a great performer, and I think that he loves what he does.
This is a picture of Stephen and I on our first date, to a Brad Paisley concert in the Tri-cities on June 2, 2003. I didn't really know who he was until I got there and found out that I knew almost all of his songs. That is the first time the I had heard his song Moments though because it was brand new.And this is us 5 years later... and closer to stage... :)We left for Spokane before 4 and my sis-in-law, Mary, watched my kids for me OVER NIGHT!!!! This was my first time leaving Paisley and I hear that she was an angel, but poor little Beck roamed around and ended up in their bed..... So even though Mary HATES country music and she mocks my boots, she is an ANGEL!! Thanks Mary!
Dierks Bentley opened for Brad and yes, this is how close I was. I grabbed his arm. :) He has good hair, huh? Then Brad came out. I was busy being lifted up by bro-in-law Ruben and Stephen, so my mother-in-law, Ann snapped this awesome picture when the lights came up and he was RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!! We were on the front row of the "catwalk" (no, that is not me with a beer in my hand...) There was a group of crazy drunk ladies and he laughed at them a lot and called em' crazy. Every one that we went with; back: Tiffanni (sis-in-law) me, Stephen, Ruben, front: Ann (mom-in-law, Dena, and Todd (bro and sis-in-law)

Brad Paisley threw me his hat!!!!! and I got a signed picture! No, just kidding, this little girl named Scout, about 5 people in front of me got it, but I tracked her down and waited with her and her mom while the crew took it backstage for Mr. Paisley to sign and then she let me take a picture with it. I put the hat on backwards, so that you could see the signature, but I should've tilted my head because you can't see it too well. But I did catch a guitar pick, okay, more like crawled around on the floor in the dark until I found it, so I had to get a picture of me and my pick and how close I was to the stage.
Stephen took this video of me jumping and waving like crazy. I am the one in the red and white shirt waving like a mad woman, and yes, I was excited. At the end of the video he says,"you guys are crazy, you're making me forget the words"

He's cute, huh?

It was such a fun night! So exciting and well, overly fun.

haha!

Just after finishing that last post Beck is begging for his Leapster game. (best invention ever!) and I keep telling him that it's time for bed as soon as I post and he says, "ah, mom, you're making me pazy (also read as crazy) and I just need my Leaspter game!"

Me

Pictures of me today because well, um, I am cool, didn't you know? My brother (in law) and sister in law got this cute sweatshirt for me while on a cruise and I watched their kids. (remember this?) They were a little worried that it was too small, so I set Beck up with the camera and made him take a picture of me, to set their worries aside. Then I remembered that my teeth weren't white yet (I got a teeth whitening for V-Day) so I had to cover my mouth. Which reminds me of when I was little. I was a very insecure little girl. I always thought there were boogies in my nose, so I always covered my nose/mouth with my hands, I also knew that I had really big teeth, I mean like huge, so that is also why I covered my mouth. I thought my arms were hairy, so I wore long sleeves, and I also had hairy legs, so I wore pants all the time. So you can imagine what I looked like in the very hot month of August....This was my twin sister, Jakobi and I at a much cuter stage in my life, well, excluding the hair cut. It was all my mom could do to not shave it all off. My Grandma Beck was babysitting us and fell asleep and Jakobi and I decided to cut each other's hair. I remember being so happy and excited to show my mom, so we got our new Easter dresses on and showed her when she got home, yeah, she cried. Our hair used to be this long...So then it had to grow from this boyish splendor...
Into this wanna be eighties dream...Good thing I still had OK teeth.... or I really would have been a mess. And yes, I still have this dress and yes, Paisley will wear it some day and hate me for it when she's 14...

Giveaway

The dentist and Cabin Fun

On Wednesday I took Beck in to the dentist, while we were there he looked at Paisley's two teeth as well. Beck was pretty terrified and it didn't help that I kept saying that "tomorrow we go to the dentist," today we go to the dentist..." But I didn't want to surprise him, so I kept telling him about it and trying to warn him. The last time we went it didn't go so well and they had to pin him down to get the fluoride on him, so I brought him back thinking we'd get X-rays or something, but nope, the dentist says his teeth are far enough spaced that he's OK. The last gal that we saw took FO-R-EV-ER and Beck was like, "ok, I am so done with this." But this guy was like in, out, Bam! we were done in like 5 minutes Much better. My friend Kellee gave him this little flashlight and was showing him how the dentist will look in his mouth and that Beck can use his flashlight to look at the dentist and that was a lifesaver, thanks Kellee!!!

Stephen and I went up to the cabin for the weekend leaving on Thursday and arriving back tonight. We had fun just hanging out, not doing much in particular, me knitting, him playing on his IPhone, Paisley crawling around and learning how to crawl up the stairs, and Beck trying to get us to play "bad tiger" with him and watching movies. We went on a walk and looked for "reindeer," only to find their poop and Beck got to pee in the snow for the first time. Beck kept saying, "yep, the reindeer just poop, they poop right there in the snow." Paisley is a gangsta girl....

This is Beck dancing for me, he even had wipes for props to dance with. He always dances when I am "blogging" because the music comes on from people's blogs. When he doesn't like a song he lets me know that he wants a faster one.

(P.S. Not very romantic, but I hate bills and forms, so it really is a grand jester)

Late Valentine's

My little Valentine's Saturday morning.... It's not that I forgot about Valentine's Day, Stephen and I did go to El Rodeo with his parents, but it just kind of came and went. I didn't take many pictures, "gasp," and I just wanted to say that I love all my Valentines. I got Beck and Pais little teddy bears and Beck switched Paisley, so she got the one with blue on it. I got Stephen a new wedding ring, another Wal-Mart special. He only seems to lose the really expensive ones, but seems to hang on to the cheap Wal-Mart ones. Oh well. Dinner was fun and good, I got to wear my new dress and I felt rather snazzy. Stephen got me a teeth whitening in Tri-cities, so look for me and my new whiter teeth some time soon! Beck was sick and didn't get to go to his Valentine's party at school on Wednesday, poor kid, but both my kids seem to be on the mend, and I am praying for the sicky winter season to be over soon! My cousin/roommate moved out over the weekend and I spent most of yesterday putting all of the toys in the house that have been under the stairs, or in the dining room into the new playroom. It does look a lot better when the toys are all put away, I promise, and soon I will paint....That's Beck holding his new "game" (Leapster) that we got him for his birthday, best investment ever if you ask me, except that he's dropping it ALL the time. I am working on an idea for a bag to put it in and I have the material already (cute monkey fabric courtesy of sister-in-law, Mary) We are headed to the cabin this weekend and I am excited for Beck to have his Leapster to play with in the car ride there. I am also praying for lots of snow....Goodbye Alexie! we will miss you and wish you luck in all your endeavors! Come back and see us soon!
Beck will miss her, I promise, he was just being a booger... (you like Piper's cute hat? yeah, I made that.... :) I know, I'm a little conceited, but when you work hard on something and redo it over and over, by the time it's done, you should give yourself a little pat on the back. Thanks Jenn for the cute book on how to knit all these cute little hats....

We got this elliptical machine and Beck had been pretty good about leaving it alone until Kortni's girls were here yesterday and they figured out how to ride it like a ferris wheel... So as of right now Beck is riding it round and round saying, "wheee, this is fun! wheee!" and I turn around from the computer and say, "your dad is gonna get mad if you keep riding it like that, it's danger. " and he says, "nope, my dad gonna get happy me riding it, cause it's fun."

Here is the tag: Post the fourth picture on the fourth folder of your pictures, explain, and tag 4 more people.
I had to go beyond and do the 4th of the 4th of the 4th because I have so many folders within folders of pictures. :) (One time we had to wipe off our computer and reload everything onto a different hard drive and a friend was helping us and he said, "oh it shouldn't take that long, she can't have that many pictures, maybe 1,000?" "Stephen said, "try 100's of thousands....") Anyways, this picture is of Beck and his cousin Ashton on our way to the Ashton cabin in Priest Lake when Beck was about 2 months old and Ashton was 8 months old.

I tag: Britni Widmier, Sommers Gerratt, Jana Hunt, and Jessica Croft

Beck's party

We had Beck's birthday party out in Othello on Sunday since we were staying out there with the kids. His cousins sent him on his very own scavenger hunt to track down this blanket that they made for him.
He actually opened his presents twice, it was so funny. This Transformer came from my friend Jenn and it was just sitting on the table and Kortni was trying to clean up, so she put a bunch of presents in bags and he started opening them all over again and as you can tell got very excited! When we started eating Beck wanted to go right to the cake and wanted everyone to sing to him and he wanted the "fire" on top to blow it out!

This is the birthday boy as we were getting ready to take all the kids to school and go to Wal-Mart and buy him another present!

My baby Beck

So today is my baby's 3rd birthday and as I type the word "3rd" I gasp! Yikes! Where in the crap did 3 years go? Then I remember the fat turkey thighs he was born with that I was so surprised to see, his first tooth around Papa Goose's birthday in November with the picture of him holding a birthday sign, he looked like a picture you would see at a dentist office of a kid with only 1 tooth. All the times I would just hold him as a baby and watch him grow, make sure to cut his fingernails with care... his first bath home from the hospital, I made my mother-in-law do it, I was so sure he would slip away from me. His first hair cut from his aunt Tiffanni where I seriously almost cried as he went from brown hair to reddish blond right before my eyes. Our trip to Las Vegas when he was 3 months old and he slept in the front pack as Stephen and I walked the strip. My fond memories of his first birthday party, loving his ice cream cake. The time he ate his first whole chicken nugget without me having to cut it. We were at the gym and he just picked it up and started eating it. Him learning to walk, he was so small, he really did look quite funny. While riding in the cart at Wal-Mart he always used to put his arm around the back of the seat like he was cool or something. Finally learning to talk and then it all came out in full sentences and paragraphs. (Yes, those are girl pijamas picture above) The way he pouts out his lip and knows that he's gonna get what he wants from me. When he runs away from me with that sly look on his face like, "there is no way you are gonna catch me." He was born on a Thursday at 7:09 PM at 8 lbs 13 ounces, I decided to name him Beck after he was born, because it sounded like a sturdy name and he was a lot bigger than we expected. I swear that kid drooled for the first 12 months of his life..... The things that he loves... movies, Lightning McQueen, "mom? you makin' me sumptin?" My little Beck, the kids at school still call him Baby Beck... running around like he owns the place. He's 3 today, growing up so fast, loving to run and play and drink his "choco milk" and "leche." Happy Birthday little guy, oh, um, I mean big kid.
Beck at 3 years old weighs 30.7 lbs, is 35 1/2 inches tall and his head is 20 1/4 inches around.
