Right after this pic I was holding Beck's hand and I slipped almost into a little pool of water, Beck got a little scrap on his knee, and I almost "took him down" as Stephen would say, but I would like to think that I saved him.
My kids were so brave. We would swim out past the rocks, me on my little floaty so that I didn't have to get in and my kids just a swimming away with the fishes and turtles!Paisley's favorite part was playing in the sand.Beck and Paisley out on the balcony of our hotel roomThis is Pais's new face. She loved pushing the buttons in the elevatorOne of our few family pics, this one was at the HotelBesides money, I have no idea why we left....Beck LOVED this ice cream at Bubba Gumps. He was practically eating it in his sleep. The kids did really well with the time change. 3 hours difference. The first night they fell asleep early at 6 and we had to skip dinner, and then they woke up at 3 am wanting to play, but after that they really adapted well.Getting ready to leave and go to the airport. After we got in the Jeep Beck realized that we were leaving and not coming back and he was not too happy about that! We got delayed at the airport in Kona for 2 hours, so we did our best to entertain ourselves.
We had so much fun and the kids loved it! Tony and Mary and their kids, Todd and Dena, and Bob and Ann joined us there. We went to the Big island and loved all the volcanic rock. Beck kept talking about volcanoes the whole time we were there. The kids loved the beach and the "kiddie" pool that was hot like a hot tub, but had a shallow end filled with sand. We played on the beach and swam in the pool pretty much the whole time. We did go for one lone drive one day to do some snorkeling (only Beck and Stephen went) and to see a black sand beach. It feels good to be home, but now Pais has a sinus infection and some major thrush in her mouth and it's back to teaching and coaching and running around all day, so I'm thinking that I have mixed feelings about being home... ;)

Sounds like lots of fun!!! Poor Pais hope she gets better soon
Where did you stay?
Sounds and looks like a lot of fun! Welcome home! :)
I know how you feel about coming home - Hawaii is so much fun and we loved the big Island. We had such a great breakfast buffet every morning with the best fresh pineapple. Can't remember where we stayed but the hotel was actually over the water with lots of turtles. Loved the snorkeling but didn't care for the helicopter ride over the volcanos - got motion sickness. Can't wait to go back someday - have to show Terry the post and maybe it will give him a kick in the butt to go.
Paisley might be the cutest little girl ever! She is just precious. It was also so cute/sad when Beck realized ya'll were leaving. Cru does that when we leave S.C.
