On Friday I gave Paisley her first rice cereal. She has been eyeballing our food for quite a while now, but I just couldn't stand the fact of my baby growing up! She handled it well and got pretty excited. :) On a side note, that first "sleep all night, crying" thing she cried for like 3-4 hours and I sat and listened to it, heart breaking. I went in after 3 hrs and gave her her binky and she fell back asleep without me even touching her. Then woke up a few minutes later and Stephen rolls over, "korbi, can you hear her crying?" hahaha, like I hadn't been up all night listening to it. :) So then she went back to sleep again and I didn't go in and feed her until 6:30 and she survived! We both did actually. Saturday night I put her in bed at 11 PM for good and she slept until 7:30 AM! Holy crap! I went in and checked on her like 10 times of course, but the potential itself is amazing! Last night she slept from 11-5:00 with only waking once and I fed her the second time she awoke at 5 and then she slept until I had to wake her up at 7:30 to get to the school on time. Yikes! This could actually work....
Friday night we went on a date with the Chandler's (Amanda and Klave), their daughter Lucy was born the day after Paisley, we had the same due date and same midwife. Both Jenk's came too, (Bethany and Jason and Amber and Sean). We ate at J's Terryaki and then went bowling and then to Shari's for ice cream. We had a bunch of fun and I left BOTH kids with a sitter for 3 hours! Ya hoo! I'm all for this date night. It's been a while....
The 4th Annual Fiesta Fundraiser was Saturday night and it was a successful evening ending in Guacamole once again. Last year, I believe that my dad was in on it, but there was a Guacamole fight. This year I had nothing to do with the beginning of it, Kortni and Jade started it by putting a bowl of it in my face, but I do think that in the end I came out victorious. Stinky yes, but victorious all the same. We had a good turn out and Beck had a blast running around. Some of my family came into support us, yeah for the Ashton's and Pruneda's!
Tonight was Beck's friend, (my friend Bethany's little boy) Roman's birthday. She made a yummy dinner and the cutest Diego birthday cake. Beck and Roman are cutie patootie's together.
This was Beck's FAVORITE part. He couldn't stop asking about the cake.
This was Paisley's favorite; being carried around by her daddy.

And I am glad I have this last picture of us taken during Thanksgiving before you passed the following January 11, 2007.
B) Go on a walk to the park with these munchkins
C) Pick this small peice of corn from my garden, so Beck can have his favorite food for dinner
D) Watch the drool fall uncontrollably from the teething snotty baby that I think makes her so much more precious
and E) Sit outside this door as I put her to sleep in her OWN room! (Yikes!) And wish us luck.

On a side note we did make it safely to Spokane, me and the kids leaving at 5 am for Beck's eye surgery. Can you see the small almost see through rounded plastic things in the corners of his eyes? Well, they're gone now! The removal of the tubes in his tear ducts went well, and he got a candy bar at the gas station to prove what a good boy he was. No crying or anything as they took him back. All the nurses were in love with Beck and Paisley because most of their patients are really old people. (Bless their hearts)
Today was a much better day. I really do love Saturdays. It means that Stephen is home, hopefully, and that we get to go on walks and run errands together. He was sick yesterday and seems to be doing better. It was hard to have Stephen gone so much and then get sick and I had so much going on with no relief. But when you are sick it is so much better to just take the time you need instead of forcing yourself on and then it take forever to get better. Well, Thanks again for the kind words and have a wonderful weekend!
Not counting Mexico where she barely dipped her toes in, this was Paisley's first swimming pool!

Look at her cute suit! I was going to order it on-line when I was pregnant for Paisley to wear in Mexico, and I had it in my order basket, but by the time I got back it was all gone, so I didn't get it. But I was at a yard sale about 3 weeks ago and I found it in 3-6 months for $2! Yeah for me! So this is the first time that she got to wear it and it will probably be too small after this, but it still is pretty darn cute.

So after we got home I was upstairs unpacking our overnight bag and I come downstairs to this.... Little booger is getting smarter every day.

So these are my bald babies now. Paisley with her patchy baldness and Beck with a WAY short for me (as you can tell I like long hair) new do'. And to my defense after I had messed up with Paisley I had to cut Beck's because he couldn't have longer hair than my baby girl! I just think it's so weird that at Paisley's age Beck had so much hair and already had a little boy hair cut and Paisley had old man bald head. Too weird. So now her hair is lighter and "patchier" and Beck's mullet mop is gone AND Stephen is is Portland and has not seen his bald headed babies, so we'll see what he says when he comes back tomorrow!

It was nap time (if Beck took naps) and I ripped him away from his "
